I did not start out knowing anything about art either.
In 2016 I came across geometric string art and something clicked. I combined it with two things that already fascinated me — sacred geometry and mandalas — and out of that mix came what I now call the string art mandala.
Along the way I discovered what matters most to me about all of this: its therapeutic and spiritual side. Weaving thread over thread quiets the mind, puts something in order inside you, and leaves something beautiful in your hands.
I started teaching in person, with tables covered in boards, nails and skeins of colored thread, and that is where I understood the important part: almost nobody needed artistic talent. They needed someone to take the process apart and teach it in the right order. That same process is what I turned into a 100% online training, and today there are certified instructors running workshops with my method in Mexico, Chile, Spain and Colombia.
I started knowing nothing about art. That is exactly why I know how much it matters to have someone teach you from the very first nail.
